Payroll Deduction

Most people contribute to United Way through payroll deduction. Payroll deduction makes giving easy. By using a pledge card or your companies pledge website, you tell us how much you'd like to give. Your employer then sets aside a portion of your earnings from each pay period.

Where the Money Goes

Your United Way contribution goes to work creating lasting changes right where you live. Local volunteers invest your contribution in the areas of education, income, and health.

Some of the funds support programs and services that help people with basic needs, such as childcare, emergency shelter, and free health clinics. Volunteers direct your contributions to the programs that get the best results.

One percent of your contribution goes to United Way of America, the national organization. United Way of America uses these funds to support national programs, such as United Way Financial Stability Partnership, United Way Success By 6 and United Way 2-1-1.
