Each year, United Way of Central West Virginia engages an independent accounting firm to audit the financial position of the organization. This audit is conducted in accordance with standards generally accepted in the United States of America and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. Those standards require that the audit be planned and preformed to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement.
The most recent audit and accompanying notes to the financial statements, along with other required filings, are available.
